Information from the departments of Interim Hospital Facility is available currently

Sailo Associate Professor & In-charge.  The Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation was established in the Institute in January, 2006 in the Interim Hospital Facility with the appointment of Dr. Stephen L. Sailo, then Assistant Professor, who assumed charge on 10th January, 2006. The Department was shifted to the main campus at Mawdiangdiang on 12th June, 2006. Indoor facility was initially started in the Surgical Speciality Ward till the separate Urology Ward was opened on 1st March, 2007. Surgical operations started in August, 2006. LOCATION:             The Department OPD is located on the 2nd Floor, above the MRD. Six rooms were allocated to the Department. The distribution of rooms is as follows: §         Room No. 205                       Uroflowmetry §         Room No. 206                       Minor OT §         Room No. 207                       Consultation Room §         Room No. 208                       Consultation Room §         Room No. 209                       Consultation Room §         Room No. 210                       Registration Room §         Room No. 211                       Seminar Room               The Department Ward is located on the ‘A’ Wing - 2nd Floor. ·        There is one Urology Ward with 32 beds   ·        There is a separate Post-op section in the Ward ·        Male and female patients are kept in separate cubicles. SERVICES:             The Department runs OPD twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM to 4PM. Routine O.T is once a week on Monday. Minor procedures are done on Wednesdays & Fridays in the Minor O.T (Room No. 206) in OPD Block. The services provided are out-patient, in-patient, operation and emergency services.
